A few weeks ago I posted my Sakuna comic here alongside my Twitter, only to find out that the Newgrounds post was flagged for deletion and I had recieved a message telling me it was against terms of service. I think one Google search of Sakuna's character design should explain why pretty well.
I'm not gonna argue about the validity or legality of loli or other niche content, nor am I gonna talk down to you guys as if you can't formulate your own research on the topics and come to your own conclusions. But what I do believe is that I am not comfortable supporting a platform that picks and chooses for the creative freedom of its artists. This wasn't the first, nor will it be the last time I'll be posting extreme content to my platforms, and Newgrounds has decided that it would rather not host it.
So I won't be hosting any of my art in the future. For now I'll be gone until Newgrounds changes its policy on extreme content. Frankly, I find Newground's stance absurd for reasons I'll detail below, but as far as news, that's the end of the message.
Thank you everybody who came to support me on this platform, it was great to get all your comments and messages and I thank you for making my time here worthwhile!

So, what's up with Newgrounds policies?
Currently, and since its inception, Newgrounds has supported the free speech of endless topics including school shootings, political extremism, and violence. Even on the porn side, I (and many other people) have had no issues posting content featuring beastiality or other acts that are otherwise completely illegal. So why loli?
Welp, it's pretty obvious. Loli is hot-button, it's a topic currently in controversy as the blame for many illegal acts, and there's a wrongful assumption by many as to its illegality. Put simply; Newgrounds is covering its ass. I doubt this banning on loli content is anything to do with any ideology Newground holds and is, in all likelihood, just a way for Newgrounds to avoid controversy as their platform gains popularity and the occasional burst of mainstream success.
Sakuna is not only a fictional character with no basis on reality, she's also an adult - as explicitly mentioned within the easily accessible wiki for the game - and is actively against being seen as a child.
Now, I don't expect Newgrounds to know any of this, that would be unreasonable, but given I had literally tagged the post as 'legal loli' - which is quite literally a tag meant to explain that the loli-esque character featured is an adult. But then that's still bad! That's just an excuse! But they're an adult. Nothing within that comic was predicated on any illegal act, nor was it meant to represent one. Even so, you have acts of violence (based on real world violence and otherwise) heavily featured on this site that are not only know, but celebrated as a part of its history, yet the line is drawn here out of simple convenience.
Newgrounds seems to be under the impression that it can represent a community in support of freedom-of-speech and the concept of separating fiction from reality, yet when faced by the prospects of defending something that hasn't already been defended by others more popular than themselves, they back off and outright refuse to support the content. This isn't a matter of legality - any lawyer could tell you that drawings are not illegal - this is a matter of simple convenience.
I'm not hopeful given their recent surge in popularity that Newgrounds will change their policy, but if they do I will support this site again without question.
